‘Blackheart Heights’ covers a lot of different subjects. It asks myself about God, it asks questions about empathy. But the main theme is the transition from feeling broken to then finally moving on and accepting change with excitement for the unknown future. It’s a positive song meaning to encourage rehabilitation of the heart and soul in light of trauma.
